Ranebennur Black Buck Sanctuary

One of the few sanctuaries in the South where the Great Indian Bustard can be seen, between May and January. Blackbuck and striped hyena can be easily sighted throughout the year.

Area : 119sq.km.
Season : The best seasons are May-June, for bird watching. It is open through out the year.
Birds : Great Indian Bustard, and a large variety of vultures.
Accommodation : Forest rest house, dormitory rooms, single and double rooms.
Access : By road.
