Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary

Also popularly known as Topslip, this is a lovely sanctuary with a vast variety of flora and fauna. An ecological paradise, the sanctuary encompasses a National Park. The hilly forest boasts a thick growth of trees, with several evergreen sholas.

Fauna : Lion- tailed macaque, nilgiri langur, malabar giant squirrel, gaur, sambar, spotted deer, mouse deer, wild boar, nilgiri tahr , porcupine, dhole, sloth bear, elephant, tiger, panther, civet cat, toddy cat etc.
Birds : Birds like racket- tailed drongo, black-headed oriol, paradise fly catcher, whistling thrush, emerald dove, green pigeon, tickell's flower pecker, rufous woodpecker, rose-ringed parakeet, black eagle, g reat Indian malabar pied hornbill, fairy blue bird, green-billed malkhoa, etc.
